The Second IHFO “Platinum Award” Appraisal Criteria
Notice to Participants
1. All the awards are granted on the basis of contribution to China;
2. All the awards have positive impacts on society, and are granted according to individuals and units that benefit the people & the country, and benefit both others and themselves;
3. Names of all the winners (individuals and units) will be recorded on IHFO.COM and relevant professional reference books. Make sure that all the testimonials are true and bear the legal liability.
4. Those who fail to understand the above clauses do not participate.

Ⅰ. IHFO “Platinum Award”—Top Ten Influential Figures
Selection Criterion
Those chairmen or presidents who have made significant contribution to tourism hotels in China in terms of investment, development, operation and management and have been approved or granted awards locally and industrially in last ten years or recent two years.

Ⅱ. IHFO “Platinum Award” – Top Ten Prominent Hotel Managers
Selection Criterion
Those chairmen or general managers of hotels and hotel management companies who have made significant contribution to hotel industry in China and have been approved locally and industrially in last ten years or recent two years. They shouldn’t be over 45 years old.

Ⅲ. IHFO “Platinum Award” – Top Ten Popular Hotels
Selection Criterion
1. Those state-owned, private or international 3-star, 4-star, 5-star hotels with more than 200 rooms, which have been open in China for more than two years；
2. With wide influence in industry and society, and possessing their own distinguishing characteristics and service innovation.

Ⅳ. IHFO “Platinum Award” – Top Ten Hotel Article Suppliers
Selection Criterion
1. With three years experience of technical product projects for hotels;
2. Able to offer more than three cases of successful projects (photos as evidence);
3. Having been commended by general managers or purchasing managers (material evidence), and a letter of recommendation by industrial association is also acquired.

Ⅴ. IHFO “Platinum Award” – Optimal Management Award
Selection Criterion
Those management groups or management teams of 3-star, 4-star and 5-star hotels who have been working for more than two years in China and have outstanding achievement.
With wide influence in industry and society, possessing advanced management concept and their own distinguishing train of thoughts, and pushing the enterprise and industry forward.

Ⅵ. IHFO “Platinum Award” – Optimal Innovation Award
Selection Criterion
Those hotels or individuals who have created new operation mode or service mode in industry in the past five years or recent two years. The contents or events of innovation have brought significance to hotel industry and have been approved by society and the business circle.

Ⅶ. IHFO “Platinum Award” – Optimal Commonweal Award
Selection Criterion
1. Those hotels which have devoted to public service in last two years and have donated more than 100,000 RMB (including goods and materials). The amount of donation can be lowered for those hotels which have exerted a significant influence on society;
2. Photos of public service and certificates of donation (including goods and materials) are required. Those hotels which have been engaging in public service (including all charitable activities) for five years or above can make a list of their activities with a stamp by unit-employer.

Ⅷ. IHFO “Platinum Award” – Optimal Investment Award
Selection Criterion
1. Those investors who have invested a certain amount in hotel industry in recent two years in China and have been identified in business circles;
2. Those investors who have made contribution to local GDP growth and tax (related certificates are required) can participate, especially those who have been identified and exerted influence locally.
3. Enterprises (including individuals) from other industry who invested a certain amount and attracted attention of tourism and hotel industry, especially those investors who can promote local economic growth.

Ⅸ. IHFO “Platinum Award” – National Brand Award
Selection Criterion
1. Having been devoted to development of national brand hotels and have gained reputation in business circle;
2. With at least five years operation history and are well-reputed among consumers;
3. Having been pushing forward the operation mode of industry in economic reform and opening-up.

Ⅹ. IHFO “Platinum Award” – Cultivation Award
Selection Criterion
1. Those individuals or units who have been engaged in the field of education, training, management of hotel talents in China in last ten years or recent two years, having exerted influence in business circle and achieved remarkable success;
2. Individuals with more than five years of practical experience; units with more than five years of training;
3. Practical experience can be lowered to three years for outstanding individuals, and 18 months for outstanding training units.

Ⅺ. IHFO “Platinum Award” – Strategic Achievement Award
Selection Criterion
1. Those individuals or units who have achieved significant success in strategic programs (in scope of operation, management, investment, amalgamation, and exploration, etc) in last three years;
2. Feasibility reports (business planning report including various charts, limited to 10,000 words) of the strategic programs are required.

Ⅻ. IHFO “Platinum Award” – Knowledge Sharing Award
Selection Criterion
1. Those managers who have been engaged in hotel industry for more than six years and have turned their professional experience into written form, exerting influence on hotel managers home and abroad;
2. Those managers who have published more than 100,000 words which are practical and can be referenced; those experts and scholars who have experience of undertaking and developing hotels, turning their experience into written form, and shared with others; those who have made contribution to local industry with their own wisdom and words.

XIII. IHFO “Platinum Award” –Architectural Design Award
Selection Criterion
Those individuals who have engaged in construction and design work of hotels which possess unusual architectural features, and have played the role of vanguard in the development and operation of hotels.

XIV. IHFO “Platinum Award”—Top Ten Hotel Groups & Management Companies
Selection Criterion
Those hotel management groups or companies, state-owned, private or international, which were set up in China ten years ago or in recent three years. Brand, number of rooms and industrial influence will be concerned.

Way to Run in Competitive Appraisal
1. To be recommended by units or local association;
2. To recommend themselves or be recommended by authorities;
3. Readers of International Hotel and assistant media & websites will undertake the appraisal;
4. Those who recommend others or themselves are required to write their comments limited to 300 words and offer the resumes and photos who are to participate;
5. Accessory testimonials are required.
